Let scripture talk

And we’re back! Today we’ll be talking about one word that perfectly describes why we do stupid things or think stupid thoughts. ASSUMPTION! We’re all human, we make assumption maybe two, three, or twenty times in our life, BUT a huge way to combat those assumptions and automatically going to those assumptions, is scripture. Now, when we choose to make assumptions, rather it be about a friend not hanging out with you or talking to you like they used to, or just an assumption about if you’re really loved by the people around you. Honestly, let me stop ya right there. I’m a huge advocate for loving people and making sure they feel loved, so if you’re reading this, YOU ARE LOVED TREMENDOUSLY. DO NOT let anyone tell you otherwise! Okay, back to the topic (🤦🏽♀️) One reason why we assume is because of our ignorance or our insecurities. They want to lead you instead of Christ, they want to have full control over your mind which is the. Worst. “It is easy for Satan to deceive us when we do not know God’s Word. Satan is the master of half-truths and if we are not intentional in reading God’s Word and applying it to our lives we can find ourselves believing his lies. God’s Word should be an anchor for our faith.” It’s important for us to, instead of make and create silly assumptions that are 100% not true, we NEED to be running to scripture. We NEED to be dwelling in the word and living in it daily. We NEED to let scripture do the talking and not our assumptions. When we depend on the Lord and depend on scripture for everything, you start to see a dramatic change in your every day life, thoughts, and actions. The assumptions will start to disappear and you’ll immediately combat every little thing with scripture. 👏🏽 “Scripture stresses the importance of knowing God’s Word and putting it into action in our lives. This requires understanding what God’s Word says, reflecting on how it relates to us, and following through with doing what it says. It is so easy to live in ignorance. But God wants more for us. His deepest desire is for you to live life abundantly in the full knowledge of Him.” With all of this being said, I have some challenges for y’all! ~set aside time everyday to spend at least 30 minutes in the word ~challenge yourself, memorize scripture. I do that! ~before you make a decision, pray. 1 John 4:1 1 Thessalonians 5:21 Acts 17:11 Psalm 119:11 James 1:22 Titus 3:3 Stay blessed, YOU are his beloved. ✌🏽
