2018 was a huge year for me. Finished up at etbu, freaking got MARRIED, and adopted the cutest fur baby to ever exist (I’m a whole lot biased). If I had to put my 2018 into two words it would be present and consistent. Consistency is very important to me, mostly because in my 2018 I have found many situations where people/things weren’t as consistent as I wanted them to be, but that only grew me instead of shorted me. It grew me in a way of understanding people more and learning to be patient and gentle. Granted my 2018 was the most hectic yet, two new jobs, summer classes (full. Load.), and learning to adult AND marriage at the same time (I’m out of breath), so my year was anything but consistent rather than random and just going with the flow, which has also taught me that I am not in control of our every day lives and plans (already knew that but the Lord loves to show off w me hahaha). In 2018 I found myself going back to this verse (consistency) because I always struggled with asking for help, or advice etc. “For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:8 This was a huge reminder in my 2018 that yet again, I am not in control and can’t help myself. If I could say one thing I know for sure that was the most consistent thing in my 2018 and every year past and in the future years to come is Jesus. Not only is he consistent, he is ever present. present is also one of my 2018 words because almost everyone I came in contact with, lived with in college, ministered to, did ministry with, etc were ever present in every conversation and with their life. I’ve realized that being present is important to me because I love face to face and intentionality. Being present is important because when we are present, two or more, the Lord is too. (He is always present, but “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them."” Matthew 18:20 ) My 2018 was filled with so much Jesus, adventure, change, and food. (Mostly hot Cheetos) I’m so excited to see where the Lord takes me and my little family in 2019. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year y’all! 🎉 Take these verses into 2019 w/ya 👇🏽 “Grace be with all who have undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 6:24 “but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31-32 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 Stay blessed, YOU are his beloved ✌🏼
