(This was a draft post from back in August. I hesitated in sharing this because I didn’t know how people would feel, but I know the Lord is calling me to post this so here y’all go!)

Hi friends! Lately I’ve been having the feelings of being forgotten, unimportant, or just completely unloved. These are lies from Satan himself because I know these feelings that I am feeling couldn’t be farther from the truth! The people I have these feelings towards used to remind me every day how loved I was in Christ and encourage my every step, but they haven’t done that in a while, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still love me and that definitely doesn’t mean that I am any less loved by the Lord! Two years of growth happened, two years of change happened, and it was all for the best! This blog post today is a hard one, definitely more deep than I would ever go, but I felt as if I didn’t share these feelings, every other Christian girl would be thinking these thoughts are okay and they’re the only one who struggles when it’s not okay and you’re not the only one that struggles! If you feel just plain unwanted and un cared for in your present community or your past community, this is for you. If not, stay and enjoy anyways! Haha What does it mean when I have these thoughts? I like to look at 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 when I have these thoughts. “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ.” You’re fighting the good fight and staying true and faithful to the Lord and that is when Satan comes in to attack and feed you these feelings. He knows what you’re doing is pleasing to the Lord so he throws curves balls to mess you up, BUT DON’T LISTEN!! Y’all!! These thoughts are minuscule, you are far greater and far better than any thought Satan can throw at you. What should I do to remove these thoughts? What I like to do, what I encourage you to do, and what you need to do is be in the word at all times! I have noticed that when I’ve been in the word first thing every morning, I feel so much better and the thoughts start to decrease! I use the regular bible app for the iPhone and I do bible studies on their and it’s a tremendous help! I also strongly recommend being in prayer all day every day. Friends, I encourage you to do these things to help your mind and thoughts stay positive and rooted in Christ! “We are commanded to put on the full armor of God. To overcome the world, every piece is vital. These items include: truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. God’s truth will keep us from falling. Righteousness – or Christlike living – protects us from the consequences of temptation. The gospel gives us a firm foundation. Faith protects us in all things. Salvation is critical for battle. The Word of God allows us to cut through and destroy any lie we encounter.” Conveniently this was my quiet time today. The Lord knows just what you need! I don’t want to make this too long, but I say all of this to say, whether you feel incompetent, unloved, un cared for, or just plain forgotten, the Lord sees you, cares for you, and knows you by name. You are held in his hands and he will always carry and sustain you. The people’s door the feelings of this world are temporary, but the Lord is eternal and that is where your focus should be. I have a challenge for y’all! Ask yourself “Which piece of armor do you need to remember to put on today?” Do not be discouraged my friends!! Matthew 28:20 Romans 5:8 Philippians 4:19 Deuteronomy 31:6 Stay blessed, YOU are his beloved. ✌🏽
